Routine Use
For the ShugaTrak® Instant (that's the adapter with a button), measure blood glucose, pull the strip out of the meter, and push the button. The ShugaTrak® app will automatically get the reading from the meter and send it to your secure online ShugaTrak® database. You don't have to touch your phone.
For the ShugaTrak® Effortless (that's the adapter without a button), you don't have to do anything. A few times each day the ShugaTrak® app will automatically grab your new readings from your meter and send them to your secure online ShugaTrak® database.

You might need to change the battery in your ShugaTrak® Bluetooth adapter. It's a CR2032 coin cell battery, the same battery used by most glucose meters. How do you know if you need a new battery?
If you have a ShugaTrak® Instant, push the button. If the status message on the Reading screen remains "adapter is setup" for over a minute, change the battery.
If you have a ShugaTrak® Effortless, swipe down on the Reading screen. The status message will change to "listening for adapter." If it stays that way for over three minutes, change the battery.
